Food was top notch. Ordered a ribeye with mushrooms and apple pie for dessert. Friendly staff. Big gravel parking lot out back if you’re in a semi or an RV.
Our travels took us through Mountain Home at lunch time. We chose Savory Layne and we absolutely made the right choice. Friendly atmosphere and staff. I had the crispy chicken salad and my husband thought it was going to boring. Joke was on him, a variety of flavors exploded in my mouth, it was unlike any I'd ever had. Enjoyed it very much! I hope our travels bring us back this way again.
Brittney is an Amazing waitress.Even during the height of the rush, she was sure to be attentive to all of my needs on my birthday. All of the food was absolutely delicious. The Alfredo was great, the chicken fried steak is amazing, I got a side of bacon bits with my alfredo, it was amazing.
We had Jess as our waitress! She was so kind and nice. She made sure my food was gluten free. She also made my kids feel extra special after telling my oldest that her lipstick looked pretty and made sure my youngest was happy with her order. Would definitely come back after having her as our waitress.
Stopped in while heading from Boise to Salt Lake City. Was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the food was! The wine selection was awesome! It was all Idaho State winery wines. I liked how they featured local wines. Everything we ordered was good. There was nothing that didn’t meet our expectations. Every time we go to a place that has country gravy, we always get a little sample to see how tasty it is. This country gravy was so good. We ordered some to go so we can make country fried steaks at home with their gravy! Our server, Baylor was really great. It was really busy when we were there and she was still really at tentative and got everything we needed. She was really good in the end when we started ordering random stuff to take home with us! She made sure we had everything we needed to wrap up and head out. She also asked us if we wanted Dr Pepper‘s or waters to go. This is going to be our regular stop every time we have to drive from Salt Lake to Boise and back every two months.
First visit. Not the last, even though it's a 25 hour drive. Home made corned beef hash without all the fillers. Sooo yummy. Pancakes were very good. Bacon and eggs perfectly cooked to order. The omelet my brother had was great. His grandson Toby devoured a Belgian waffle that looked good. Our server was EXCELLENT!!! I'm sorry, I can't remember her name. Super friendly and very attentive without being intrusive. To her, many thanks. 💜😎
As a trucker who travels alot, finding a great meal can sometimes be challenging. I arrived at the Pilot and found Savory Layne across the street. Walked across for dinner, ordered the Ribeye 12oz. Guys and Gals, it was awesome, full of flavor and cooked the way I liked it. I enjoyed the service and food,that I went back the following morning for breakfast. You can't go wrong at Savory Layne. Whether you're a trucker or an average Joe, I'd recommend this place to anyone.
Firstly the food was excellent. Gravy had lots of sausage and flavor, the kids burger was huge and the fries crispy. Second, I was just passing through on my way back to the Seattle area. I left my purse on accident underneath the table. I called and it was still there. The manager said that they would be able to ship it to me so I don't have to return hundreds of miles. It was so very kind of them and I really appreciate it. When I come back through I'll definitely be stopping in again.
My wife Becky and I ended up spending a couple of days in Mtn Home and found this great restaurant just off I-84 exit 95 called "Savory Layne Steakhouse". The atmosphere was great the food & price was exceptional. And to top it off our waitress, Becca made us feel at home and brought everything together with ease. We ate there both nights. For dinner the first night I had smoked brisket, loaded baked potato, with three smoked bacon wrapped poppers. It was perfectly smoked and tender not only did it look good the taste was out if this world. Becky had a chicken strip basket. She said it was the best she'd ever had. The second night I had liver and onions, mashed potatoes, and a bow of smoked baked beans. Becky had a Chipotle chicken wrap. They both were great! Then to top it off the second night we aso had desert. I had warmed up apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and Becky had pumpkin cheese cake. This restaurant has it all!! Plenty of options to choose from and at a very reasonable price too. If you ever get a chance to eat there, you'll be happy you did.
We ordered a sample tray for two — it was tasty and even a bit more than enough. The portion size was good for sharing. The staff was nice and attentive. The dining area is spacious, with relaxed background music. The only downside was the restrooms — they were not very clean, possibly because it’s part of a hotel. Overall, we enjoyed the food.
